i was disappointed in this product. (if you like sweet, go with the vanilla muscle milk) i got this and the Vega Sport Performance Optimizer -Acai Berry Flavour… which was absolutely horrid! i couldn’t get through one serving of either. a complete waste of money in my opinion. yuck!

Okay, so I’ve tried other VEGA flavors and I found them to be completely unpalatable. This one got fantastic reviews, so I tried it. Well, it smells excellent and when you first sip it it’s pretty excellent, but the aftertaste is dreadful. And when you are near the bottom of the cup, it’s like drinking sludge. It does not mix well. 3 stars for the yummy smell and nutrition.

From all the rave reviews, I was psyched to try this product. It looks too excellent to be right! 100% of daily vitamins? Filling, tasty meal replacer? There must be a drawback.

Well, it is tasty indeed. I blended it with spinach and frozen peaches. But, it is strangely quite sweet (and the sweetness tastes somewhat artificial). The thing that really scares me is that there is no proper ingredients list. The only two ingredients listed on the bottle is “natural vanilla and chai flavors”, so where do all the minerals and vitamins come from? And moreover, how is this product so sweet? I want to know what I’m putting into my body, especially if it’s claiming to be über healthy.

Next time I will try blending it with a banana, and see if that improves things.

PS: this is the mark: [...]

I want to know WHERE the fiber, protein, etc etc comes from…now just how much it has!

  4. Perfect for mornings on the go when you want to have a vegan day. I was concerned about my “acid / aklaline” levels, and this definately helps bring up Alkalinity . The taste is what can be expected from such a product as this, but its the best it can be . I particularly like the smell of the Chai Vega. Smells like baked cookies I guess. One serving is too much so i have half in the morning, and the other at lunch sometimes. as long as Vega keeps making this product I will be buying the Vanilla Chai.

  5. I wanted to like it, I really did! I was all excited when I read all the things that it did for you but the taste is too terrible for me to handle.

I bought some fruits to blend it with and it didn’t help at all (the fact that the shake is a gray-ish green doesn’t help either)

I tried many different things to disguise the flavor but nothing really worked.

I advise you to go to your local heath store and buy an individual pack (I got one at whole foods)to try it for the fist time so you don’t get stuck with a $70 shake that you can’t drink, if you like it after that Amazon does have the cheaper price on the huge containers.
