Lunges are a fantastic whole leg workout that you can do at home with simple, inexpensive equipment. This video clip shows proper form of this exercise. If you have a history of knee problems you should not attempt this unless under the direct supervision of your physical therapist. As with any dumbbell exercise, form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury.
