This product is convenient – no messy powder to have to deal with. The cans are a perfect size for your hand, and my daughter is not gassy compared to the other products I tried – she was fussy until I started using this. I made a mistake in ordering and Amazon’s customer service was awesome!

My daughter has been breastfed since she was born, although she doesn’t have latching problem and everything else looked fine with her, PD is not pleased about her weight gain, that is, she didn’t gain back her birth weight by the 3rd week. I was suspected to have low milk production. There we chose to supplementing with formula. We have samples of different brand and chose to place her on Excellent Start Supreme Ready to feed first because of their comfort protein thought and the DHA ARA supplement. Either we are extremely lucky on this product, or our daughter has a perfect digestive system and flexible pallet, she had no problem with the Excellent Start from the moment it was introduced to her. We uses Dr. Brown bottle and she latched on like a Pro and seem to delight in the taste of the formula, like that well-known Nesle coffee Ad: Excellent To The Last Drop.( I tasted it too later figuring it must be pretty yummy, and hell it was not pleasant to my taste bud)
My daughter has been on breast milk and Excellent Start on a 2:1 ratio. The introduction of formula didn’t cause gas and fussiness. Her bowl movement pattern is nearly the same as she was on strict breast milk. Her weight gain skyrocketed. As an unexpected benefit, she doesn’t have nipple confusion and has been happily with both mom’s bobs and the bottle.
Although I am typically critical toward rating, I don’t see any reason to give the Nestle Excellent Start anything less than a five star. To be honest, we haven’t tried the other brand and maybe they would have worked just fine as well.

Amazon is one of the only retailers to offer the Excellent Start Supreme liquid concentrate for a excellent price. Breastfeeding did not go well for us and the information I had gathered indicates that the Excellent Start formula is as close to breast milk as we’re going to get. You have to feed your child more often (as with breastfeeding)and the gastrointestinal upset that nearly all babies encounter initially with formula is mild compared to some I’ve read. Amazon delivers promptly, though UPS service in my area is questionable (thrashed boxes). Overall I believe this formula to be fantastic for my child and am pleased with Amazon’s service.

Like this product!! Much better than powdered formula. Just mix with equal volume of water and it’s that simple. Plus it’s excellent for up to 48 hours in the refrigerator after opening.
Product is excellent – handling by Amazon is very poor.

Amazon does not know how or doesn’t care to handle this item properly. ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK! Liquid or concentrated formula should not be exposed to extreme temperatures but Amazon does not seem to read the boxes on the orders they send out. I ordered a case of this and it arrived frozen-even though the case of formula is clearly marked with information about the required temperatures by Nestle’. A call to Nestle’s help line confirmed my dread that once this has been frozen or exposed to extreme heat, they don’t recommend that you feed it to you baby. The formula will lose nutrients when not handled properly and will change in texture and strength. So, I had a case of formula and still nothing to feed my son. We had to go to the store anyway and buy more formula. Very frustrating when I had $52 worth of it sitting at home that I couldn’t use.
I called Amazon’s customer service and was told they would send out a replacement. I clarified to them about the temperature information marked on the Excellent Start carton and told them that we were in the midwest where it is very cold in winter and that this week it has been below zero. I told the rep that they needed to keep this at a proper temperature and clearly mark the outer carton so that the delivery service would heed the directions and keep this at a proper temperature.
Instead, what I received was another case, shipped in the exact same manner, with the outer carton blank, and the inner case of product clearly stating the requirements. It is STILL below zero here and DHL dropped this at my back door, without a signature and left it on the snowy deck. Luckily I was working from home today and let the dog out and saw the box laying there. The formula was very cold, it was not frozen this time so I reckon I caught it soon after it was dropped off. What if I had been at work? It would have layed there all day, in the below zero cold and I would have had the exact same issue-a case of unusable formula. This is very frustrating and I am concerned that other people will order this and not realize how careless Amazon is. You shouldn’t feed your baby with unsafe formula, and that’s what I received…twice! If you live in an area of extreme temperature, be aware that you may receive this product after it has been exposed to heat or cold. Amazon needs to revise it’s internal policies so that it can handle these types of products properly. I won’t be ordering this from them again.

I like this product. Small cans that store and mix easily up with water. Never gritty and tastes pretty excellent. I tasted it myself to be sure and was pleasantly suprised. My son started on this formula after 5 1/2 months of breastfeeding. The transition was seemless.
