Men’s Health Muscle Chow: More Than 150 Meals to Feed Your Muscles and Fuel Your Workouts

this was bought for me for my birthday because i am living a more healthy lifestyle now and thought this would help. my girlfriend and i have tried numerous recipes out of this book and only one so far has been worth the effort. everything else hase small to no taste or when the recipe is followed exactly it comes out as a disaster. (muffins for example) maybe i’m just messing everything up, but i wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone.

Bottom line: not the quality of book that I have come to expect of a Men’s Health endorsed author. The glossy, high production photos of dishes are unnecessary and the only useful info (phasing a plot, what are the basic foods you should store) could fit in to a magazine article. I recommend that instead of buying this book you just search the Men’s Health website for recipe thoughts and training/diet articles. That is all

I have been on the “abs diet” for two years and like it! Although very pleased with the program I thought this would help me kick it up a notch. I read Muscle Chow last night and again this morning. I am disappointed that there is not a daily diet for each segment discussed (only ripped is given). I would have also liked a weekly shopping list. The book could have been organized a lot better. I would have ditched the “better homes and garden” food pics for a more specfic plot. A list in one place of all the supplements to take each day and what time. Let face it, someone who buys this book is in shape, works 40-60 hrs a week, works out and plays sports. We have one day to shop for food- make it simple on us. OK saying all this- I like the reciepes- i will set up my own schedule- and make it happen……

This is a really excellent product that not only gives you some really fantastic recipes, but also teaches you about how to eat and be a healthier, leaner you. Some of the knowledge in here is pretty remedial (such as how to bake a chicken breast) but there is a lot of advanced stuff and simple, quick recipes. I recommend it to anyone looking to bulk up, get ripped or just eat healthier.

Brilliant book compiled by someone who knows both fitness & nutrition. Very excellent read with practical suggestions for properly fitting nutrition into fitness workouts.
