I feel I’m kinda going out on a limb here, …

I KNOW each and every single person is different, … so please, do not take this as an insult. I’m only telling you what worked for me.

I’ve tried this Atkins Diet. I lost weight, but I missed my sweets too much.

I also tried the low-stout diet. Again, I lost weight, but I missed my cheese too much.

I’m now following Kevin Trudeau’s Level 1 in “Weight Loss Cures ‘They’ don’t want you to know about”. I get to keep my cheese, and I get to keep my sweets. Maybe not as many sweets as I’d like, but I DO get to keep them. I’m finding I’m loosing weight with Kevin Trudeau. And with the sweets he does allow, I’m finding I’m craving sweets less.

Every single person has to find what works for them. If Atkins works for you, then I’m honestly glad you found something that works for you. Stay with it. I’m proud of you.

If Atkin’s did not work for you, please try Kevin Trudeau. If you’ve already tried Kevin Trudeau, PLEASE keep trying something else and DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE! There IS SOMETHING out there that WILL work for you. The ONLY time you fail is when you stop trying.

I hope this helps anyone who is trying to make a choice here on weight loss.

    God bless you.

    Usability
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I just bought the Atkins’ New Diet Cookbook and have perused it briefly. But,without having started using the recipes, I have some suggestions to the author as to how to improve the usability.
    1. All recipes should be for the same number of servings. It is simple to double or triple for more servings.
    2. The page number should be included (rather than an asterisk indicating that the recipe is in the back of the book). I spent several hours locating the recipe and writing the page number by the meal plot. This before I even started considering cooking!
    3. Small effort was made to make the recipes cost effective. By that I mean, in the first two weeks, many ingredients are perishable but used only one time and small amounts required–such as 4 strawberries!
    5. Too much effort to make recipes exotic when more normal and available (also less expensive)ingredients would make the diet simpler to manage and still maintain the low carbs.

Lose Weight With Low Carbs – Tasty Tempting Recipes
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
In a motivated mood, I questioned my doctor recently to give me a excellent diet plot so I could take off many unwanted pounds. He didn’t skip a beat. He just said “try the Atkins’ Diet.” So, I did…and it is brilliant! What a fantastic way to lose weight, in a healthy manner, with a minimal amount of suffering. I am dropping pounds, not feeling hungry, and ready to experiment with low carbohydrate food recipes, as I have grown a small bored with broiled meats, fish, omelettes and plain salad.

I picked up a copy of “Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Cookbook: With Dr. Atkins’ New Carbohydrate Gram Counter,” tried many of the recipes and have been thrilled with the gourmet results. All recipes follow the same high-protein, high-stout, low-carbohydrate diet (including the complex carbohydrates). From appetizers, meat, poultry and fish dishes, to scrumptious desserts, the results are wonderful. The cheesecake is loaded with cream cheese, eggs, cream fraiche, uses a sugar substitute and is out of this world. My diet is much more varied now and food really seems to taste better than before I started the diet. The carbohydrate counter included in the book is invaluable.

I also want to add that exercise is so vital in the weight loss process. Even walking for a half hour everyday will help considerably. Dr. Atkins was scorned for many years for his weight loss program and healthy diet theories, but over time, with much research, he has been proven right. I can’t recommend his diet and this cookbook highly enough! Check with your doctor first, as I did. Excellent luck!

Simple to accomplish, and proven to work!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Unlike fad diets and abstinence, this is a diet that does not require you to carry a scale, or a calculator to figure out if the food in front of you is what you should be eating. Right, it helps if you like meat, but I have not met a stout vegetarian, so they should have nothing to worry about. The thought of being able to eat as much of the meat, and eggs that I want is heaven on earth. I no longer munch on pork rinds and feel guilty, but they are really part of the diet.

There is, but, a misconception that the diet eliminates carbohydrates. This is specifically not the case. The diet allows a severe lowering of carbs, but the allowed total increases somewhat after a small period of time. I have not stopped eating at McDonalds, and other such places, but now I know that instead of a couple of quarter pound burgers, I can get a double burger and stay at my daily carb limit. Once you are at the limit for the day, then you stop the carbs for only that day. Therefore, I can also eat rice, bread, and pasta, but in limited servings. This is not always simple, but I lost 18 pounds within eight weeks.

I have not been as loyal to the diet since that loss, but I remain conscious about carbohydrates and this has kept me from regaining the weight after the last several months. The point is to know what will place on the weight and keep control. My wife and I add our own spices to the book’s recipes so as to juice up the meals and to meet our taste needs. I do miss the huge plate of spaghetti, but now I can better keep up with my children in play.

This is a excellent buy if on the diet
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
If you are on the Atkins diet or your own version of it you should pick up this book. It is very helpful and the recipes are pretty excellent. Since I am not much of a cook I did not try most of the recipes but the ones I tried were all decent (some better than others). I do reckon a book like this helps you stay on the diet longer.

Healthy and wholesome recipies, making gourmet cooking fun
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
If you like healthy and tasty meals, read this one. Fully compatible with most phases of the well-known Atkins diet, this book learns you how to cook the excellent ancient-fashioned way: rich, healthy and simple recipies that you will just like. The Atkins diet is clearly a diet that not only works remarkably well for most individuals, certainly the obese, but it is also a gourmet diet. This book proves it and makes it simple and fun. I have seen really obese persons, myself included, lose over 100 pounds (!) easily and keeping it off: just by eating the right (low-carb)way. This book really helps with just that.

Most receipies are simple to follow and prepare, some are of high-caliber gourmet cooks – and still full compatible with the life-time maintenance phase of the diet.

Fran Gare, who contributed significantly to this book, wrote other brilliant low-carb cookbooks as well. Overall, this is a very excellent book worth every penny.

    Gladly recommended!
