I just received this Brother iron and Sister steel text book from amazon. i bought it because i read other buyers opinion. When i got it, i was in rush and opened it. But, it wasnt what i expect it to be. Ok. Here is my opinion, this book doesn’t have any performing pic. Plus, this book is about the author wat he had been through. Its none of my business because im not him. Different people have diferent abilities, so they are not the same. for instance, some are tall, and some are small. Some eat alot and other eat a bit of food. Further, some may not intake that much work out while others intaking. consequently, there is only one way to solve wat u really need to work is to get to know ur body by going to ur local gym. IF u want to learn proper techniques, i recommend u go to join ur local gym. This book doesn’t give u anything vital detail. All it gives are routines, nutrition, and dream. That is all. if u r a serious, i recommend u to get another book that gives u everything. Oh yeah, there’s a flawless by author BOb paris text book out there. The flawless text book give u everything before u start ur own work out. For example, routines, pics performing, thoughts, and tips. Here is my tip, if u r a curious trainer, making a commiment to urself. If u secceed it, getting something to celebrate as a reward. like, movies, video games, or mall.

I bought this book because I read where Poliquin suggested it. Nothing new in the workouts. Dave definately likes to write. I was hoping for inspiration and motivation. I got supersets and 4 calories can be found in a gram of protein. Nothing new here. Some excellent pictures, but not worh the dough. Recomend Dinosaur Training by Brooks Kubik or maybe something by Tudor Bompa.

  3. I read the book and loved it and looked at it for what it was—a book thats not really applicable for the average person.

What people don’t know is that Mr. Draper, like all body builders of the 60′s through today, took steroids to build his stature. Hence, you cannot mimic him in his routines.

My advice, if you are looking for advice on working out and building muscle stay with books on natural training and a natural lifestyle.

  5. This book is a must have if you are getting back into lifting after a lay off. Dave Draper cuts through the chase and delivers a no nonsense progression that will allow any lifter to return to the sport of weightlifting with a seamless transition that is comfortable, reasonable, and progressive. Following his instruction will allow for the toning and conditioning that will afford any lifter the smoothest and simplest entry into bodybuilding training. After three weeks of introduction exercise, I have reestablished a foundation of fittness that has allowed me to tackle his most aggressive training routines. He also gives common sense practices for nutrition that are simple to follow. Dave’s alignment of exercises has allowed me to work from one exercise to another without fatigue. The sequence of exercises have been arranged to allow you deliver maximum effort to each exercise. He provides workout routines to fit every time schedule that you can imagine. After years of research and lifting routines of every kind, I can earnestly say that this book has far exceeded any that I have every read. I have lifted as a powerlifter and bodybuilder. I have coached high school football and taught weightlifting to high school athletes for over 19 years. This is an outstanding text for personal lifting and coaching athletes.
