Link to Linda’s site and donation link: www.genaw.com In this Atkins Diet in the kitchen video, I make one of Linda’s recipes of Linda’s Low Carb Recipe site fame. It is Panna Cotta, and the ease and lack of ingredients (only 3) is incredible. It is super versatile and only limited by your access to excellent sugar free syrups like Torani and DaVinci. Here’s the recipe: www.genaw.com 1 envelope unflavored Knox gelatin 3 TBS SF syrup, like DaVinci or Torani 2 cups heavy cream 1/2 cup sugar free syrup In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over 3 tablespoons syrup; let stand 5 minutes to soften. Bring the cream and 1/2 cup syrup to a simmer for about 6 minutes. Remove cream and syrup from the heat and add the gelatin mixture. Stir until the gelatin is completely melted. Pour mixture into 6 individual ramekins or small bowls. Cover the surface with plastic wrap. Chill until set. Makes 6 servings 279 Calories; 29g Stout; 3g Protein; 2.5g Net Carbs

You are right. But, the Atkins diet did not work for me 5 years ago, because I would have that typical “crash” that would last several weeks depressing me. After removing just gluten I have not had a real craving for these kind of carbs (gluten) for now half a year and I’ve lost 30 pounds slowly. I know eventually it will all come off. I feel like removing just gluten was the solution for me and I know it is for millions of others. You are right about refined sugar, but I’m not addicted

You have a spark of truth there; but, ignoring the refined sugars impact to one’s blood sugar and insulin sensitivity is missing a large part of the American diet.

The beauty of the Atkins diet is you remove out all the inflammatory or allergic foods (gluten just being one, dairy & nuts being others). Then when you add them back, you evaluate each rung for impact to you. Gluten sentivity while vital does not clarify everything.

The reason the Atkins diet was so well loved in this country at one time was because it took out gluten (wheat, barley, oat) the right cause of obesity in this country. But when people started adding carbs (part of the progam) they incorprated the poison (gluten). Take gluten out of your diet and you’ll lose weight and be healthy. You can eat all the carbs you want (fruits, veggies, rice, potatos, and even Skittles). 40 percent of people have gluten sensitivity and don’t know it.

I did the same thing the first time. It took a few tries before I figured out stop trying to sign into paypal before the amount. Thankfully, it only takes the first time to learn that lesson.

I do believe I commented on Kent’s video and not yours, oh that’s right you don’t have any. Please don’t try to censor me.
    Have a fantastic day!

First enter your donation in the box provided and then log into your paypal account, or it won’t go through. Guess it wasn’t as simple as I thought. :) My error, though.

I’ve used Linda’s site on many, many occasions. Donating at the site was simple. Two clicks and you’re at the donation page. Excellent looking out, Kent.

Thanks Tony! You are absolutely too kind.

Thanks Steve! I reckon you’ll like it. It is simple on the stomach and a fantastic way to have the ice cream like taste without making it yourself or having all the sugar….

  11. bowulf says:

Both DaVinci and Torani’s are only sweetened with sucralose and do not contain any sugar alcohols. Amazon has both of brands.

Have you found a sugar free syrup without sugar alcohols? My stomach can’t tolerate even small quantities of it.

Looks tasty as always, I’ll have to try it out. I’ll be sure to go and donate next week, when I have the money. it’s a shame that this country doesn’t have universal healthcare. Take care and thanks again!

Really the fridge is a side by side model, so the way it opens is the only way it opens. Being tall, I appreciate not having to duck either for the common stuff in the fridge or freezer.

Hi, I reckon your refrigerator opens the incorrect way. That sure is an inconvenience, but I’m sure you “deal” with it being the “superstar” you are. :-)
